Paris Hilton will open a new hotel at Jikyll Island Resort, the resort’s founder and CEO, Guy Hallett, announced Wednesday.
The hotel, named The Jungle, will be located on a 1,000-room hotel that has been a popular tourist attraction since it opened in 2014.
Hilton, who also serves as a hostess at the resort, announced the hotel, which will be named The Jekylis, at the Paris Hilton Hotel in New York City.
It will have a full-service restaurant and bar, and will offer guests “the world’s best in international cuisine,” Hilton said.
The Jikylis Hotel will open in 2019, Hilton said in a statement.
“We are thrilled to have Guy Hillett, founder and owner of The Jungle Resort and a long-time advocate for the Jekyles environment, join us at JKL.
This is a historic day for Jekyle.”
The Jungle will also be the first luxury hotel to be located in a historic New York landmark, Hilton added.
The Jungle is the second new hotel to join Hilton’s Jeklyn line, following the first opened in the summer of 2017.
The Hilton Hotel and its partners in New Jersey and Delaware are also building a brand new hotel in the historic town of Westport, Connecticut.
“The Jeklises is a unique and uniquely iconic place,” Halleett said in his announcement.
“Our new hotel is the perfect addition to our already impressive and popular Jeklyis.
We look forward to welcoming guests to The Jungle and providing the best of what the Jeks have to offer.”
The hotel will also serve as Hilton’s first hotel in New Orleans, Hilton’s second New Orleans hotel after the Jiklys New Orleans Hotel.
Jeklin’s first New Orleans location, the JKlist, opened in 2016.
The company has been operating hotels and apartments in New England and Texas for more than a decade.
Its latest hotel in Atlanta opened in October 2018.
